The sign doesnt make all that much sense haha.. its dark so im not sure if you can read it all the way but it says "New Open... Cat's Club at 1th, may"
This weekend Preston and I were really bored so we decided to go for a drive. We ended up at the Osan Air Base, bout 2-3 hours away (depends on traffic, took us 3 to get there, only 2 to get home).. We mostly walked around right outside the main gate. The Shopping Center there is really fun to wander. Its full of resteraunts, clothing stores, furniture shops, shoes, clubs... basically everything. We took a lot of pictures of signs... Korean signs make me laugh. Translating Hangul into English doesnt always make too much sense, or they are spelt way wrong! On our way home, we were driving past Camp Carrolls Main Gate (we're stationed at Camp Carroll) and a drunk man was walking down the street, he forgot to watch the ground, and fell off the curb! His arms flew out like he wanted to fly, and once he hit the ground he started rolling... it really was so funny. I couldnt stop laughing...
Preston and I havent been up to all that much lately.. just working, training, ect. Today I got some sad/worrysome news. About 12 Soldiers from our Unit received emails from the Department of the Army, informing them that they are being deployed "immediatly" to Afghanistan. Its mostly been the Higher Ranks, but im still keeping it in my mind that Preston could very easily be called up soon. Most of the 12 Soldiers who received these orders will be gone in 30 days. Kelly, the lady who helps me out all the time, her husband was on of the Soldiers who received these orders.. Her husband is a Major. Kelly and John are gonna have a very crazy time for the next little while. She has a job interview in DC from the 5-12 of this month, and the Colonel in her Husbands Section just left for 2 weeks on Emergency Leave, and John is now the acting Commander of his section... I am gonna miss them.. Things around here may get bad soon... we dont have enough Soldiers in the Unit to cover all the jobs, and not enough Soldiers is making there be gaps in the different Chain of Commands, and now with at least 12 deploying, its just gonna get worse... im hoping it will all work out though. Just taking it all one day at a time...
