Marriage Retreat & Lotte World

This is our license plate here in Korea, we got it today!
Preston working hard haha

This is what grave sites look like here, this one is on the side of the road just outside of the gate! They bury the dead standing up here..

This is the street right outside of the gate we use to get home

This is what the shops are like here, all side by side, and then on top of eachother!

Those cars on the side, yeah they are parked and this is one of the wider streets! People really do just part anywhere and everywhere...

Sorry I dont know how to turn it, but this is a Korean Toilet, they dont flush them very often... NO i havent had to use them. In most places they have a row of what are called "Asian Toilets" and then a row of "Western Toilets" haha

These are roof tiles

How they used to iron things
Preston trying to scratch his foot, haha he couldnt reach it!

I got locked away haha

We were being bad haha so they put us in jail, so sad haha

Sorry dont know how to turn it over, its Dippin Dots! Haha they have these everywhere in Lotte World! Its usually Baskin Robbins you see around...
The wonderful outside of Lotte World, its built around the River that runs through Seoul...

The Lotte World Castle, it reminds us of Disney Land

Thats the Mickey and Minnie of Lotte World

What you see as you go down the stairs through the mall to enter Lotte World

The Olympic Stadium in Seoul! We passed it on the way to Lotte World

Seoul
Seoul

Us on our way to Lotte World!

Hahaha, I like Korean Writing it looks cooler then English!

K not sure what this is for sure, but I think its a picture of Yongson
This is one of the truck/bus stops we stopped at on our way to Seoul, they are actually really nice

Us on the bus headed to Seoul! It was a 4 hour bus ride...

So we went to that Marriage Retreat this weekend. It was so much fun, a lot different then we expected. We watched videos by that guy who says men have boxes in their brains and women have a ball of wire.. he is so funny. And the lessons were good. He is blunt and it was good. We had all of Monday afternoon free so we went to Lotte World. It is honestly the Korean version of Disney Land, except their Mickey and Miney (or however they are spelt) are racoons named like Lottey and Laney or something like that. It even has a Giant Castle on the outside haha. We had a lot of fun their, it only cost $34,000 won each (which is around $34.00 each- depending on the won rate). We spent all day there. We had so much fun, except I walked away with a twisted ankle and a soar jaw haha... getting off one of the rollercoasters my foot got stuck and i twisted it so then we went onto a water ride where i had lifted up my food to rest it on a nother chair and as i did so we hit a "wave" and i lost balance and hit my face on the chair next to me! Hahaha, other then that it was a blast! If any of you come visit us well have to take you there! Its also attached to a mall, this mall is full of stores like Luis Vatton, Prada and so on! Its a lot of fun! I hope you all enjoy our pictures!

More Pictures!!

This is how dealerships are set up here; most are even smaller!
Resteraunts here are stacked ontop of eachother, the bottom floor was a Korean Resteraunt, the top was TGI Fridays and then next to it was Outback Stake House

The AWESOME No Smoking Sign haha
Thats some of Busan, and the pretty beach!
Busan
The beach we walked out onto

This thing was SO FUNNY! You put your head in it to look at the fish and it would "shrink" your head. The Koreans couldnt stop laughing at us! We were having so much fun with it!

Look at the size of that tooth compared to his hand!

One of the awesome sharks we'll get to dive with in a few weeks!

A group of the sharks, their shark tank was huge!

Look at the size of that thing! They had like 4 or 5 of them in one tank!

I had never seen a Sea Horse until then! They have a bunch of them!!

The Cute Panguins! They had a whole bunch of them too! They were very entertaining though!

Some Pictures!

So this one is some of the fishes
Me and the first thing you see when you walk into the aquarium! haha
Preston and our friendly Shark Lady haha

One of the towns we passed while in the KTX (Train)

Preston and I, the train ride was over 2 hours, we needed to entertain ourselves so we took pictures haha

New House and Busan Aquarium

So Preston and I are finally into our new apartment! Its a lot better then the old one. It feels more American and more like home! It has 4 bedrooms (2 are connected), 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a frontroom, a laundry room, and 2 sun decks. Its really nice. The room across from our bedroom is the den/closet haha. They dont really have closets here. Again we have one of those crazy showers but this one has a drain under the shower head so its all good! Its a nice house, I have pictures to post!
Preston and I also went to the aquarium! It is in a town called Busan, sometimes called Pusan! *side note* the "D" and "T" can be interchanged and the "B" and "P" can as well, so every 200 years some towns change name. Like Tague is now Dague and Pusan is now Busan.. Anyway, we had to take 2 different trains just to get to Busan and then from the Station we took a taxi to the aquarium. It was soo fun! They have so many different kinds of sea creatures! It put the Mandalay Bays to shame! We were there for a few hours, then when you exit the aquarium you walk out onto the beach! Its so pretty there. We then went and ate at Outback Stake House, it was good, but a little pricey. All the American places to eat off base are more pricey, but they are always SO good, better then back in the states!
Preston and I are going to a Marriage Retreat this weekend. Its up in Seoul it should be fun! We cant wait! We have a lot of free time up there which will be fun! I liked Seoul the day I was there! Well we miss you all! We hope you guys are all having fun!

Off-Line

Hey Everyone! We are getting ready to move, tonight and tomorrow. We will be moving down the street. We may not have any internet for a few days so if no one hears from us thats why. I may take the lap top over to the Food Court or Bowling Alley now and again to see what everyone is up to and to post things until we get it. There is a Soldier we will be living by who has found internet/us cable that are in one and it costs $50 won a month, he is trying to find it again. So we are going to try to get it but were not sure how fast we will be able to! We are having fun, and are glad to be getting out of this apartment. We liked the apartment just not the ppl we had to deal with in living in it. The other apartments rent is more, but it includes all utilities, we just pay internet/cable, which is the cheapest things here. The electricity can get WAY expensive, there has been a few families that have actually had to take out loans to pay them. Some have gotten up to over $1000 in US money. Its crazy! The weather has been really nice here lately, its been in the 60s rather then the like 30s. We have really been enjoying it. Tomorrow, which is Friday, it is supposed to be rainy and cloudy. It is usually like that at least once a week. I had a Spouses Briefing in Dague on Tuesday and they were telling us about the weather here. They said it goes Yellow Sand Season, Monsoon Season, Tyfoon Season, then Winter haha. Sounds fun huh? They said in there is also the Demonstration Season in there too.. were about into a combo of Yellow Sand and Demonstration Season. I guess during demonstrations they bring out the riot police just to be safe, but down here in our area they never really get out of control, but up in Seoul they can. Haha, the Commander over the area was saying that our communities actualy will block off streets so that the demonstraters cant do it. They like the military and the business we bring to them locally so they wont let them in to Demonstrate. He said its funny to watch. When they do demonstrations though, the Military closes the Gate where its happening and done like ppl to go off base, they want us to stay safe. The Military is usally given the time, date and location at which the demonstration is going to happen. Right now in Dague at Camp Henry they have a one man demonstrator. He is there picketing everyday between 11-1 (the lunch time of the military haha). They have 2 KNs watching him. This weekend Preston and I are headed down to another town to go to the beach and aquarium. We are excited to go and get out. It should be fun! We cant wait to take more pictures of Korea to show everyone! We are having fun and enjoying being together! We miss you all and love you tons!!

I know this one is WAY blurry but I wanted to show you guys this little shack, thats how some ppl still live here. In those and there will be tires ontop holding down tarp that is the roof.
Haha, they serve really good Chinese Food here, but it run by Koreans haha
Some of the shops outside the resteraunt.. the clothes that are outside are thousands of won cheaper then whats inside..
This is Dauge... on a non-traffic time! There are so many ppl in Dague. There are like 2.5 million ppl, its the 3rd largest town in South Korea!
