Off-Line
Hey Everyone! We are getting ready to move, tonight and tomorrow. We will be moving down the street. We may not have any internet for a few days so if no one hears from us thats why. I may take the lap top over to the Food Court or Bowling Alley now and again to see what everyone is up to and to post things until we get it. There is a Soldier we will be living by who has found internet/us cable that are in one and it costs $50 won a month, he is trying to find it again. So we are going to try to get it but were not sure how fast we will be able to! We are having fun, and are glad to be getting out of this apartment. We liked the apartment just not the ppl we had to deal with in living in it. The other apartments rent is more, but it includes all utilities, we just pay internet/cable, which is the cheapest things here. The electricity can get WAY expensive, there has been a few families that have actually had to take out loans to pay them. Some have gotten up to over $1000 in US money. Its crazy! The weather has been really nice here lately, its been in the 60s rather then the like 30s. We have really been enjoying it. Tomorrow, which is Friday, it is supposed to be rainy and cloudy. It is usually like that at least once a week. I had a Spouses Briefing in Dague on Tuesday and they were telling us about the weather here. They said it goes Yellow Sand Season, Monsoon Season, Tyfoon Season, then Winter haha. Sounds fun huh? They said in there is also the Demonstration Season in there too.. were about into a combo of Yellow Sand and Demonstration Season. I guess during demonstrations they bring out the riot police just to be safe, but down here in our area they never really get out of control, but up in Seoul they can. Haha, the Commander over the area was saying that our communities actualy will block off streets so that the demonstraters cant do it. They like the military and the business we bring to them locally so they wont let them in to Demonstrate. He said its funny to watch. When they do demonstrations though, the Military closes the Gate where its happening and done like ppl to go off base, they want us to stay safe. The Military is usally given the time, date and location at which the demonstration is going to happen. Right now in Dague at Camp Henry they have a one man demonstrator. He is there picketing everyday between 11-1 (the lunch time of the military haha). They have 2 KNs watching him. This weekend Preston and I are headed down to another town to go to the beach and aquarium. We are excited to go and get out. It should be fun! We cant wait to take more pictures of Korea to show everyone! We are having fun and enjoying being together! We miss you all and love you tons!!
